Fraivolti Apartment

  • 4 guests
  • 2 bedrooms
  • 2 bathrooms
  • 60 m²
  • First floor, no lift

Sixty square metres on the first floor: two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a full kitchen and the original wooden beams. It suits a family or two couples.

The apartment

The old beams are still there in every room; the bathrooms, the kitchen and the beds are new. It is bright, and quiet at night.

Fraivolti takes its name from the street, Calle dei Volti, named after the arches that join the houses on either side.

Bedrooms

The two bedrooms are separate and each has its own bathroom with a large shower, so nobody queues for the bathroom in the morning.

  • First bedroom: queen-size bed (160 × 200 cm) and private bathroom.
  • Second bedroom: queen-size bed (160 × 200 cm), which can become two singles if you ask, a sofa and private bathroom.

Kitchen and the rest

The kitchen has what you need to cook dinner, or just make coffee in the morning. Every room has its own air conditioning and heating.

  • Air conditioning and heating in every room
  • Wi-Fi
  • Smart TVs
  • Induction hob, oven and microwave
  • Dishwasher
  • Nespresso machine
  • Washing machine
  • Iron and hairdryer
  • USB sockets
  • Bed linen and towels
  • Self check-in with a keypad code
  • Free luggage storage on the day you arrive and the day you leave

Getting around

You can walk almost everywhere: the Frari is 2 minutes away, the Rialto Bridge 8, St Mark’s about 20, the station and Piazzale Roma about 10.

The San Tomà water bus stop is under a minute from the door. Lines 1 and 2 run along the Grand Canal to the station, Piazzale Roma, Rialto and St Mark’s. Close by there is also the traghetto, the gondola that ferries people across the Grand Canal. More in my guide to getting around.

The neighbourhood

San Polo is the smallest of the six sestieri and one of the oldest. Round the corner are the Frari and the Scuola Grande di San Rocco with its Tintorettos; the Rialto market is ten minutes away. More in San Polo, our neighbourhood.
